Dean McCullough Obituary
Dean McCullough, 75, of Mt. Victory, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Avita Ontario Hospital.
He was born July 19, 1948, in Kenton, to Clair and Frances (Kelsey) McCullough. He married Andrea Morehart on July 28, 1984, and she survives in Mt. Victory.
Dean is also survived by his sons, Charlie (Samantha) McCullough of Mt. Victory and Michael McCullough of Mt. Victory; brother, Bruce (Mary Alice) McCullough of Florida; sister-in-law, Betty McCullough of Mt. Victory; four grandchildren, Claire, Brooklyn, Addie, and Graham; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sarah McCullough; two brothers, Carl McCullough and Ken McCullough; infant brother, Charles McCullough; and nephew, Kerry McCullough.
Dean graduated from Kenton High School in 1966. He got his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University.
He worked several jobs throughout his life including being an industrial arts teacher, a lender for AgCredit, and a property appraiser. His true passion was farming, which he did his entire life. He also raised show pigs for a few years. He loved to farm with his sons and teach them whatever he could.
Dean also had a passion for working in his community. He served on various boards and community organizations such as Hardin County Board of DD, Ridgemont School Board, and Hardin County Housing Board. He was a member of Rhinehart United Methodist Church and 60-year member of Painter Creek Grange.
In his free time, Dean enjoyed watching westerns, working on things around the house, and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
Dean's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Price-McElroy Funeral Home, Mt. Victory, with Pastor Debra Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery, Kenton. Visitation for friends and family will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024, at the funeral home.
Memorial donations in Dean's honor may be made to Hardin County Fair Foundation or Hardin County Board of D.D.
