David L. Myers

David L. Myers, 78, of Houghton Lake, Michigan, and formerly of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, after a courageous cancer fight.

David was born May 30, 1945, in Findlay, to Leroy and Betty (Drake) Myers. He was a 1963 graduate of Fostoria High School. He served in U.S. Navy for four years and was honorably discharged. He married Evelyn Ferrell and they later divorced. He then married Susan Hemmerly.

David is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan; two daughters, Brieanna (Tony) Lengel of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Chantel (Bob) Zasimovitch of Spring Hill, Florida; sister, Rebecca Myers of Findlay; brother, Charles Myers of Findlay; three grandchildren, Chance Muscianese, Reilly Bain, and Samantha Lengel; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughters, Jonna and Amy.

David worked at General Electric for 13 years before retiring from the Budd Company after 27 years. David was an extreme hard worker while also being an amazing dad. David was also a voracious reader known to read entire books from start to finish in one setting. He loved making art projects (including tye-dye shirts) with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed woodworking, playing card games, and playing pool.

At David's request, there will be no services.
