David Harmon Obituary
David Lewis Harmon, 84, of Arlington, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.
He was born May 2, 1939, in Toledo, to Shepard Louis and Evelyn Fern (Fitzsimmons) Harmon, who preceded him in death.
David married Bonnie Creech on Aug. 27, 1961, and she survives along with their three sons, David Scott (Linda) Harmon, Dean Harmon, and Daniel (Kerri) Harmon; 10 grandchildren, Amber, Hannah, Sarah, Brianna, Angel, Joshua, Manoah, David, Bethanny (Dillon), and Nathaniel (Shelby); 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sharon Zahn-Davis and Diane Herzig.
He was a 1957 graduate of Toledo DeVilbiss High School and received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Toledo along with an accounting degree from Tiffin University. He worked as an electrical engineer at Dana Corporation (Toledo), Cooper Tire and Rubber (Findlay), and retired from Jones & Henry (Toledo) as an electrical engineering consultant.
David enjoyed reading, model trains and cars, music, and genealogy. But, most of all, he loved his family.
A celebration of David's life will be 3 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington, with Pastors Ken and Terry McBeath officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, and 2-3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to charity of the donor's choice.

To Bonnie and the Harmon family - Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Dave will be greatly missed by many. Dave and I started work at Dana Corp in Toledo on the same day in the Corporate R & D section. We immediately became good friends and our families enjoyed much time together until both moved to other areas. Dave and I have stayed in touch these many years with you guys in the Findlay, Ohio area and our family in Phoenix, AZ. As my mom was a Harmon we have tried these many years to establish a family connection. I am still working on it. Dave and I discussed it on the phone several weeks ago. He is a great friend and will be sorely missed.
