Curtis D. Repass, 88 of Rock Falls, died Sunday, April 23, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
Curt was born on December 14, 1934 in Burkes Garden, VA, the son of Frank and Stella (Hall) Repass. He married Judy Gowan on December 14, 1957 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling. Curt worked as a pipefitter at Northwestern Steel and Wire, retiring after 35 years in 1993. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, shooting, and traveling, especially to Burkes Garden. He loved his winters in Ft. Myers, FL and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling.
Survivors include his wife, Judy of 65 years; three children, Curt (Janice) Repass of Sterling, Ann (Dick) Warren of Sterling, and Bill Repass of Rock Falls; two sisters, Betty Jean Felty and Peggy Greene both of South Carolina; one sister-in-law, June Sullivan of Rock Falls; eight grandchildren, Casey (Tiffany) Warren, Megan (Ryan) Dawson, Dustin (Becca) Repass, Jenna (DJ) Jones, Dugan (Allie) Repass, Jake Warren, Hannah Repass, and Haley (Zac Nardi) Repass; sixteen great grandchildren, Lexy (Ryan) Schoaf, Ava and Finley Warren, Maleah Warren, Drew, Ryder, and Brooks Dawson, Dax, Griffin, Remi, and Breck Repass, Ellie, Amelia, and Madeline Jones, Millie Warren, and Hudson Nardi; and his faithful companion, Webster.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joe, Marvin, and Richard Repass, four sisters, Virginia Dillow, Louise Lambert Wagner, Annabelle Frock, and Brenda Gupta; one grandson, Eric Warren; and one great granddaughter, Charlotte Dawson.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling. A Celebration of Life will follow at Nick's Tap in Rock Falls from 12:00 -3:00 P.M. Cremation rites have been accorded with the McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the local animal shelters.
