Clarence J. Schleicher Jr., "C.J." of Yorkville, IL passed away surrounded by his family on December 1, 2022. He was born on June 21, 1931 in Chicago, IL the son of Clarence and Louise (Huntzinger) Schleicher. C.J. proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. He attended U of I Chicago and later went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree from Roosevelt University. He worked for various companies throughout his career and retired in 1988 as a Comptroller at JelSert Company after many years of dedicated service. He was an avid collector of coins, stamps and sports memorabilia. He loved all sports and was a beloved fan of all Chicago teams. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and being outdoors. To know C.J. was to love him because of his positive attitude, his organizational skills and his wonderful sense of humor. Above all things, his greatest joy was time spent with family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Sherry Schleicher; daughters, Cathy (Randy Vesecky) Toland and Kris (Greg) Pritz; grandchildren, Beth, Tina, Dana, Shannon, Meghan, Tommy, Joshua, Karisa and Nina; great-grandchildren, Leyton, Brynnlee, Malayah, Legend, and Liza Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents and children, Dennis Schleicher and Lisa Hoffman.
Family will be receiving guests on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Military Honors will follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to the charity of your choice.
