Clair A. Saltzman

Clair A. Saltzman, 83, of Arcadia, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024. He was born Dec. 24, 1940, in Wyandot County to the late Alvin J. and Martha H. (Walter) Saltzman. Clair married Marlene Miller on Dec. 24, 1961, and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Susan (John) Rinker of Van Buren, Roger (Lisa) Saltzman of Arcadia and Sandra (Timothy) Fink of Dover, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Jason (Katie) Rinker, Lindsay Rinker, Hannah (Andy) Klinger, Jenna Saltzman, Emma Saltzman, Allison (Matt) Schaub, Nicole Fink and Matthew Fink; four great-grandchildren, Jaxton Rinker, Hadley Rinker and Cooper and Corbin Klinger; brothers, David (Carol) Saltzman and Fred (Elaine) Saltzman both of Alvada; sisters, Sarah (Darwin) Searfoss, Janet (Larry) Fry, Carol (Rick) Tong all of Findlay, Mary (Dave) Tong of Arcadia and Joyce (Kendall) Thomas of Vanlue.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Rinker; and brother, Lewis (Betty) Saltzman.

Clair was a life-long farmer and was involved in many farm organizations over the years. He was a member of the former Oak Grove United Brethren Church and was currently attending Trinity United Brethren Church, Fostoria. He was involved in the Sunday School program at both churches. Clair was also a member of Gideon's International.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. On Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Burial will follow in Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren.
