Christian Miller Obituary

Christian D. Miller, 86, of New Haven, Indiana, passed away on February 15, 2026, into the presence of his Lord and Savior at 1:34 p.m. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, faithful husband, loving father, and respected electrician, Christian lived a life marked by hard work, humility, and steadfast faith.

Christian was born on December 2, 1939, in New Haven to Peter D. Miller and Hannah (Gerig) Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Elizabeth Miller; and his brothers, William Miller and Daniel D. Miller.

He married the love of his life, Dian Sue Miller, on May 25, 2001, in Allen County, Indiana. Together they built a Christ-centered home grounded in prayer, service, and love. He is survived by his wife, Dian Sue Miller; his son, James Allen Miller; his daughter, Sharon Kay Hanke; his sister; and his brothers, Joseph D. (Mary) Miller and Peter D. (Ann) Miller Jr.; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Christian worked as an electrician for more than four decades. After 7.5 years with Delagrange Electric, he founded Christian Miller Electric, where he faithfully served customers and mentored others in the trade for 45 years before retiring on January 1, 2012. Known for his integrity, skill, and strong work ethic, he built his business on honesty and relationships that lasted a lifetime.

A longtime member of New Horizons Fellowship Missionary Church, Christian was deeply devoted to his church family and the missionary denomination. His faith was not merely something he professed, but something he lived daily. He believed in the truth of Matthew 25 - serving "the least of these" - and supported causes such as the local Red Cross as expressions of his faith in action.

Christian found joy in old hymns and the timeless truths they proclaimed. He especially loved "He Hideth My Soul" and "How Great Thou Art," songs that reflected both his gratitude and reverence for God.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Maplecrest Chapel, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at New Horizons Fellowship Missionary Church, 1330 Werling Road, New Haven, Indiana, with Pastor Jeff Elliott officiating, and calling prior to service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Christian's life was defined by quiet strength, faithful service, and unwavering trust in Christ. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion - to his Savior, his family, his church, and his work. His family rejoices in the promise that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."

Preferred memorials can be made to Matthew 25 or American Red Cross – Ft. Wayne Chapter.
