Caryn Kovac Obituary
Caryn Joanne Kovac, of Findlay, triumphed over her battle with cancer and entered the gates of heaven after a courageous four-year fight against cancer Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the age of 58.
She was born July 19, 1966, in Akron to James and Mary (Pressley) Kovac.
Caryn was a Bartlett High School graduate. She then attended Union University, where she earned her bachelor's degree. Caryn was a retired postal worker with many years of service. In her spare time, she loved crafting and getting on Facebook. Caryn was a dedicated Oho State Buckeye fan who loved cheering for her team. "GO BUCKS!"
Caryn is survived by her father, James Kovac of Hendersonville, North Carolina; son, Zachary Kovac of Findlay; granddaughter, Legacy; sisters, Cindy (Bruce) Haynes of Findlay and Clara (Mark) Deaver of Canton, North Carolina; brother, Jimmy (Patti) Kovac of Cincinnati; and many nieces and nephews. In addition, surviving are her close friends, Craig Jackson, Brenda Thomas, and Jody Kendrick, all of Findlay, and her beloved pet dog, Bella.
The peace and joy Caryn must have felt as she entered heaven, where she was reunited with her baby daughter, Mary. She was also reunited with her mom, who was the heart and soul of our family, along with grandparents, Clayton and Jane Pressley and John and Grace Kovac. What a glorious reunion had at the feet of Jesus!
"Through all her treatments and hospital stays, the three sisters all stood together. They proudly called themselves "The Three Musketeers."
Friends and family may visit from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Caryn's funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. in the funeral home following visitation with Pastor Blair Heyward officiating. Caryn will be laid to rest in Lee Cemetery, Amanda Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Caryn's honor may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio 45840, or The Armes Family Cancer Care Center, 15990 Medical Dr. S, Findlay, 45840.
