Carolyn James Obituary
Carolyn Adelle (Marvin) St. James, 81, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend.
After graduation from Arcadia High School, she worked for 48 years as a legal secretary. She was a charter member of Findlay Legal Secretaries Association. She also served in various elected offices at both the state and national level of the Legal Secretaries Associations while working in Oklahoma and Washington, D.C. Carolyn was twice named Oklahoma Legal Secretary of the year.
Carolyn enjoyed knitting and quilting, Southern Gospel music, watching NASCAR on TV, and spending time with family.
Carolyn was born Feb. 14, 1942, in Findlay, to Eugene and Laura (Leader) Marvin. She married John St. James on Oct. 15, 1983, and he preceded her in death.
Carolyn is survived by her sisters, Kathryn (Max) Wise and Gertrude (Karl) Gingrich, both of Findlay; and many, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clare, Wendell, Ralph, and Gerald Marvin; and sisters, Alice (Dulgar), Virginia (Metzger), and Annabel (Daugherty).
Carolyn's family graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at Bright Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Damshroeder and Tonya Marvin officiating.
Memorial contributions in memory of Carolyn can be made to National Kidney Foundation or American Cancer Society.
HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500, has been entrusted with arrangements.

So very sorry to learn of Carolyn's passing. I met her through the singles group and choir at Fairfax United Methodist Church, Fairfax, Virginia. She got me into Southern Gospel and attended many concerts together.

I am so sorry for your families loss. Carolyn was a member of WeightWatchers for many years and she and I quickly developed a friendship. She would come in once a month and we would talk about what blankets she was making for her nieces or nephews. She always spoke so fondly of her nieces and nephews. She was so very proud of all of them( the great- greats too) Thank you for sharing her with me. I will truly miss her visit once a month. She was always a ray of sunshine never complained about her health or anything else. She was just happy to have another day.
