Barbara Yates Obituary
Barbara Jean Yates, 83, of Mt. Blanchard, passed away at Bridge Hospice Care Center Wednesday, June 25, 2025. She was born July 23, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Miller) Shaw. On October 24, 1960, she married David Yates, who survives in Mt. Blanchard.
Survivors include a son, William Yates of Findlay; a daughter, Cinderella Scalf of Findlay; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
Barbara was a homemaker who enjoyed playing solitaire, word searches, oil painting, drawing, and watching the birds.
Visitation for Barbara Jean will be from 11-1 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Her funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Mt. Blanchard.
Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.coldrencrates.com.
