Barbara J. McFadden

With humble acceptance of God's will, we announce the passing of Barbara Jean McFadden, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022. She was born Dec. 4, 1941, in Findlay, to Fred J., and Edna Mae (Steegman) Abbott.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Brian (Holly) Pahl of Louisville, Kentucky, and Brent Pahl of Findlay; daughter, Jennifer Kay Barger of Fostoria; brother, Fred (Mary) Abbott of Galena, Ohio; sisters, Janis Bobb of Beaufort, South Carolina, and Jo Ann Crawford of Thorton, Colorado; nephew, Eric (Heather) Lang of Columbus, Ohio; and nieces, Brianna Abbott of Powell, Ohio, and Mackenzie (Brad) Spaulding of Boston, Kentucky. Barbara loved her seven wonderful grandchildren, Shelbi, Sydney, Trent, and Ava Pahl, Vaeda Pahl, and Gage and Jenna Barger. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; niece, Gina Crocker; and beloved dog of 14 years, Brady Boy.

Barbara was a North Baltimore High School graduate. She worked as a salesperson in several different venues including JC Penny, Metropolitan Life, and Western Southern Life Insurances. Barbara was also a member of Salem Cass United Methodist Church. She loved to read and watch Ohio State University and Pittsburgh Steelers football while enjoying a cold beer. Her favorite times were those spent with her family and her many, many friends.

Friends and family may visit 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Barbara's funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Blau officiating. Interment will follow at New Maplewood Cemetery in North Baltimore.
