Angela R. Crace

Angela R. Crace, 44, of Carey, suddenly passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2022.

She was born Feb. 25, 1978, in Findlay, to Theresa (Blair) Crace and Gary Crace.

She committed to her wife Sarah (Tidd) Crace on Oct. 16, 2004, and they were later legally married Oct. 16, 2020, and she survives.

Angela is also survived by her mother, Theresa (Blair) Crace of Carey; father, Gary (Deb Ward) Crace of Findlay; two children, Blair "Elliot" and Brock Crace, both at home; sister, Emily (Matt) Risner of Findlay; two nephews, Jackson and Nolan Risner of Findlay; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and and friends.

Angie was a 1996 graduate of Vanlue High School and earned an Associates degree from Owens Community College in Law Enforcement Technology and obtained her OPOTA Certification, Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Administration from The University of Findlay, and Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from University of Phoenix. She obtained many hours of special training in areas of juvenile probation and social work. She worked in children services and juvenile justice for over 20 years. She was recognized as social worker of the year in 2006 in Wyandot County. Most recently, she worked as social services supervisor at Crawford County Children Services. She previously was a special deputy with Hancock County Sheriff's Office. Angie's passion was working with children and families.

Angie was most known for her giving nature, big heart, and beautiful smile. She was a lifelong Notre Dame football fan and loved coaching girls basketball and softball. She had a love for cars, especially her classic 1965 Ford Mustang. She loved the outdoors which included going deer hunting with her dad and her son, Brock. She also loved riding dirt bikes, motorcycle rides with her wife, and riding ATVs with Blair "Elliot" and Brock. She also enjoyed many golf cart rides with her nephews, Jackson and Nolan.

Angela's funeral will be 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with Chaplain Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Zion Bloom Cemetery near Vanlue.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to NAMI of Hancock County or to the funeral home to help with expenses and sent to the funeral home.
