Allen Dwight Alge

Allen Dwight Alge, 86, of rural Arlington, passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, at his residence.

Allen was born March 29, 1936, in Magnetic Springs, Ohio, the son of the late Steven and Ruby (Clingerman) Alge. He married Barbara Ann (Hindall) on May 28, 1955, and she passed away Aug. 30, 2004.

Allen was blessed with one son, Douglas A. Alge, who is deceased, and one brother, William "Bill" Alge, also deceased. Allen's sister, Mary Hudson, lives in Galion, and his close friend, Marjorie Richard, resides in Arlington.

Allen attended Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church and was a 1954 graduate of Arlington High School. Allen was a transmission mechanic at Latham Oldsmobile in Findlay for many years. Allen had his private pilot license and flew from his farm grass strip in his Tri Pacer for many years enjoying the birds eye view of the farm ground in the area. Allen also loved to travel being in most all but a handful of states and Europe. He also took great pride in farming until his death at 86.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at Arlington Cemetery with Pastor Brett Kelly officiating. Memorials may be made to Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church, 204 S. Main St., Mt. Blanchard, Ohio, 45867.
