Alecia S. Turner

Alecia S. Turner, 54, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital, Toledo.

She was born January 7, 1968, in Tiffin, to David D. and Judy K. (Hoffman) Althaus.

She married Barry D. Turner on December 26, 1998, in Bloomdale, and he preceded her in death April 22, 2018.

Surviving are her mother, Judy Althaus of Fostoria; two daughters, Ashley and Amy Turner, both of Fostoria; sisters, Karen Decker of Lexington, Kentucky, and Joy (Rich) Clark of Bloomdale; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her father, David; and sister, Michelle Althaus.

Alecia was sweet and bubbly, always grateful, and would do anything for her daughters.

She loved camping, was an avid reader, and enjoyed sitting on her front porch. She also enjoyed baking and was an excellent cook. She could put anything together without a recipe. And she loved her cat Ellie!

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at MANN-HARE-HOENING Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria. Alecia's funeral will be Wednesday at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a hour of visitation prior to the service.
