Alden Hatch Obituary

I am saddened to just now hear of Lt Col Hatch's passing. As I type this, I can hear him say "Call me Al", and that alone says so much about the man he was--humble beyond measure. We met after discovering that he served in Vietnam with my late father in law and he invited us up for a visit. After 2 days, we left feeling as if we were part of his family and stayed in touch as if that were the case too. Rarely have I ever connected so profoundly and quickly with anyone than I did with "Al" and I remain proud to call him friend and my chosen surrogate father. Prayers for Jill and the family and friends as they grieve. Rest in peace, my friend. May God shed His grace on thee.

I am so sorry for your loss and grieve alongside you. Col. Hatch, and your whole family really, was a hero to me. My memories of him in Germany and my visits to Findlay are precious to me as were his frequent supportive comments on my ministry posts on FB.
What a great man!

Dear family, I am so sorry for your loss! What a great life story! I´m glad I got to know Al a few years ago while doing some exterior painting and staining for Al and Jill. It was a pleasure getting to know both Al and Jill! God bless!

I am so sorry to hear of your dad´s passing. I always thought so highly of him. My dad did too. He asked about him not too long ago. Your father raised two great kids, and that´s the best legacy in the world. My heart goes out to you both.
