Agnes Maxine Crowe

Agnes (Jaye) Maxine Crowe, 89, formerly of Altamonte Springs, Florida, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025, at The Heritage (Legacy) in Findlay. She was born in DeLancey, Pennsylvania, July 6, 1935, to the late Edgar and Anna (Zuby) Swarm, moved to Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 4, and was a 1953 graduate of West High School.

She was the loving wife of 42 years to the late Clovis (Jim) A. Crowe and former wife of Norman Elbin Sr. (deceased). Agnes retired from Winn-Dixie Bakery in Florida, following a long career in the restaurant industry. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Findlay and a former member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She was an avid golfer and sportsperson (carding two holes-in-one), a dedicated fan of Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians/Guardians, and, more recently, Findlay Trojan athletics.

Jaye's sons are Raymond (Lisa) Elbin of Findlay, Norman (Patricia) Elbin of Hudson, Martin (Val) Elbin of Coolville, and Daniel Elbin (deceased); her surviving siblings are sister, Theresa Slenn of Akron; and brother, Robert (Joyce) Swarm of Ocala, Florida. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Lindsay (David), Scott (Ryan), Andrew (Rachel), Zachary (Amanda), Jacob (Macie), Julianne, Jacquelyn, Sarah (Joseph), and Brendan; and four great-grandchildren, Penelope, Lydia, Bexley, and Asher.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Jack, Richard, and Edgar Jr.; and sisters, Edna, Sarah, and Dorothy.

Memorial Mass will be at noon Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Downtown. A luncheon will be after Mass at COLDREN-CRATES RECEPTION CENTER in Findlay. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL. Arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay.
