Wilma (and Wilbur) welcomed John and I into their family at St. John Lutheran as if we were their own children. No matter where life took us from Ohio to California to Virginia, Wilma (and Wilbur) kept in touch and always made us feel loved. I will miss them dearly.

Sheryl,
What a wonderful lady your mom was to be around. From the high school days, to ONU Athletic Dept secretary, to the days of seeing her around Ada, always smiling and welcoming people to chat with. A great family your parents had and they both cared for each other in all phases of their lives. A very full life she had, and tons to be grateful for.

Wilma taught me how to be the secretary to Athletics. I had the privilege of following her. She trained me to be successful. She said the she wanted me to love this job as much as she did and she was very generous to share her knowledge openly. During that training period and years of keeping in touch I was so impressed with her total love of every one of her children and grandchildren and of course her beloved Wilbur. What a dear couple they were and I'm sure they are together again. Thank you Wilma for being a great teacher and role model. I never truly was able to fill her shoes but I kept that job for almost 30 years. She was one in a million.
