Veronica Tooke Obituary
Veronica Lucy "Roni" Tooke, 86, of Findlay, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024.
She was born in Syracuse, New York to Florence and Edward Crosby. Roni dedicated her life to her husband and raising her five children. She was active in square dancing and bowling and worked as a jeweler in New Jersey and Ohio after her youngest was old enough. In retirement she enjoyed many winters in Long Key, Florida to escape the Ohio cold with friends and family.
Roni was preceded in death by her brother, Bing, and sister, Mary. She is survived by her husband, Bill; her children, Colleen Deabler, Cathy Renn, Eric Tooke, Maureen Pepper and Eileen Tooke; six grandchildren, Katie, Megan, Halle, Harmony, Anna and Tom.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Lewy Body Dementia Association or The James Center (Ohio State Comprehensive Cancer Center).
