Timothy R. Sons

Timothy R. Sons, 63, of Forest, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 3, 1959, in Kenton, to Edward M. and Mary J. (Born) Sons. Tim married Portia Brandeberry on June 9, 1979.

Tim is survived by his mother, Mary Sons of Forest; wife, Portia Sons of Forest; two children, Chad (Alyssa) Sons of Mt. Cory and Lindsey (Matt) Berger of Forest; five grandchildren, Shae, Connor, Brody, Colin, and Maci; brother, Gary (Deb) Sons of Forest; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and best friend, Denny Gillfillan.

He was preceded in death by his father; son, Jeremy Sons; and sister, Carol Livingston.

Tim was a 1977 Riverdale High School graduate. He attended Good Hope Lutheran Church of Arlington. Tim was owner of Tim Sons Distributing as well as a machine operator at Hearthside Food Solutions. He retired from Jackson Township Trustee and volunteered as a firefighter and EMT for over 20 years. He enjoyed traveling to Florida for the warm weather and was an avid Ohio State University fan. Tim was a proud grandpa to his five grandchildren.

Tim's funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, at Clark Shields Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Ramsey officiating.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family invites friends to show support by wearing your OSU apparel or any Florida shirts or hats.
