Theresa Carp Obituary
Theresa Rose (Theis) Carp, 83, of rural New Riegel, died at 8:53 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025, at her residence.
Theresa was born December 4, 1941, in Tiffin, to Anthony and Corrine (Kelbley) Theis. She married Joseph D. Carp, January 7, 1967, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Riegel, and he survives.
Other survivors include a son, Joe Carp of St. Petersburg, Florida; two daughters, Cindy (Rick) Frankart of Findlay, and Tina (Joe) Nye of New Riegel; five grandchildren, Ashley Frankart, Tonya (Kyle) Ardai, Andy Nye, Gabrielle Nye, and Dominic Nye; and a sister, Anna Schlick of Wickliff, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Theis.
Theresa was a 1959 graduate of New Riegel High School, a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel and its Rosary Altar Society, and American Legion Auxiliary, Tiffin. She formerly worked at Arlans Department Store, Harrison-Price Insurance, and New Riegel Post Office. Theresa was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling, baking, yoga, playing euchre, attending her grandchildren's sports and activities, and often taking them to Amish Country. She always made sure everyone was well fed. The holiday table had enough food to feed an army. She always had snacks and treats on hand for the grandkids. Theresa crocheted afghans and blankets for all her family and often traveled to Florida.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883. (419) 447-3113.
Her Funeral Mass will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel, with the Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. Burial will take place immediately following at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, New Riegel.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to All Saints Parish or New Riegel EMS, Inc.
