Terry Gary Obituary
Terry D. Gary, 85, of Brooksville, Florida, and formerly of Findlay, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, May 14, 2023, at his home.
Terry was born May 13, 1938, to John C. and Betty Jane (Romick) Peterson. He was married to Gert K. Gary and they divorced. He then married Barbara A. Hummel. Both preceded him in death.
Terry is survived by his fiancée, Donna Van Des Bos of Brooksville, Florida; children, Cynthia (Craig) Brooks and David (Deb) Gary, both of Findlay, Thomas (Pearl) Gary of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Jane Roy of Findlay, and Allen (Penny) of Rawson; two stepdaughters, Dawn Hummel Brown and Laura Hummel Greeno, both of Findlay; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Terry was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, George M. Gary; two nephews, Jeffrey and George Jr. Gary; and stepson, Mark Hummel.
Terry worked at Cooper Tire and Ball Metal before retiring from Ball. He also was a Special Deputy with Hancock County Sheriff Department.
Downing Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Brooksville, Florida, are handling arrangements with a memorial service in Findlay arranged at a later date.

Mr. Gary was my Scoutmaster and helped me get my Eagle. Dave, Tom, my brother Dave and I all got our Eagle at the same time. Much sympathy to Terry´s family.
