Terrance Baker Obituary

Terrance Wayne "Terry" Baker

Terrance W. Baker, 72, passed quietly at home Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, under home care of Hospice.

He was born Sept. 2, 1950, to the late Delton E. Baker and Betty I. (Deidrick) Baker. Terry was married to Roxanne Phillips, but they later divorced.

Terry is survived by his wife, Rande (Suchy) Baker; four children, Cassie Coppus of Mt. Cory, Andrea (Greg) Krieger of Rawson, and stepsons, Ryan Solomon and Mathew Solomon of Irvine, California; six grandchildren, Madison, McKinley, Zac, Cooper, Jasper, and Andrew; siblings, Dennis (Diana) Baker, Sherri Frantz, and Thomas Baker, all of Findlay; mother-in-law, Caryl Koenig of Naples, Florida; sister-in-law, Christie Bartley of Mobile, Alabama; sister and brother-in-law, Annie and Michael Suchy of Taylorsville, Kentucky; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Terry was a 1968 graduate of Van Buren High School, an Eagle Scout, and member of National Honor Society. He attended The Ohio State University for one year and later proudly served his country deployed in Vietnam as a member of the 101st Airborne (Airmobile, U.S. Army). He began a Photography career in Detroit in 1972, and started Baker Photography in Findlay in 1974. Terry was blessed with good health for 64 years, but reluctantly closed the business in 2014 due to health concerns. He was also a faithful attendant at Faith Presbyterian Church.

Terry was a humble, quiet, and kind man with a giving spirit. His family will miss him dearly, but will never forget the lessons of life and love that he taught them. He will be remembered for his endless energy, tireless work ethic, and smiling eyes. He touched so many lives with his gift of photography, being behind the camera, and capturing many special moments. This is what he loved and where he was most comfortable. Those that were close to Terry knew that he preferred giving much more than receiving. In lieu of a funeral and to honor Terry, he wishes for everyone to celebrate and remember his life in their own way. We know he will be with us in spirit.

Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Terry to Bridge Home Health and Hospice Northwest Ohio, Amyloidosis Foundation, 7151 North Main Street Suite 2, Clarkstone, Michigan, 48346, and Faith Presbyterian Church, 700 E. Melrose, Findlay.

A special thank you to Bridge Hospice, Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, and family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. Online condolences can be expressed to the family by visiting coldrencrates.com.

So sorry to hear of Terrys passing. He was always such a nice person and my mother was married to Terrys' dad Delton for many years. He will be missed by all in the Findlay community.

Tom, Sherri, and the rest of the family. May you feel God´s loving arms surrounding you during this time, giving you a peace that only He can give.
I appreciated that Terry took the time to listen to what photos I wanted when Ed and I got married, and then he added some other fabulous suggestions in as well! He was so kind and considerate. ~Ed and Cathy (Bisbee) Hamilton

Terry took my daughter´s wedding pictures and our family pictures. Also took numerous graduation pictures through the years. I considered him a neighbor, a friend, who was a kind gentle soul. He will be so missed by many. May you rest in peace.

Terry took the first digital photos of our children when we first moved to Findlay in 2000. He was a wonderful photographer.
Rande- you and your family are in my prayers.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
