Steven Abbott Obituary
Steven Jay Abbott, 59, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at his residence after cancer for almost two years.
He was born in Findlay to William R. and Norma Colleen (Sams) Abbott.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Childress; brother, Dana C. (Kelly) Abbott; three sisters, Lee Ann Abbott, Joni (Joe) Pina, and Jana Christian; two stepchildren, Shaun and Ashley Childress; two grandchildren, Bryn and Grant; several nieces and nephews; and best friend and dog, Luna.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ted Johnson.
He was a graduate of Arcadia High School, was a truck driver, and previously worked for Findlay Industries. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, loved the color white, corn hole, camping, swimming, the sun, and playing tricks on people. He was a huge supporter of the Toys for Tots motorcycle run and was a member of the Eagles in Fostoria.
Steven's celebration of life will be 1-1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be 1:30-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family would like everyone to come in their Harley-Davidson or Ohio State attire for the celebration.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory and online condolences can be shared by visiting coldrencrates.com.
