Sheryl Muryn Obituary

Sheryl Trone Muryn

Sheryl Trone Muryn of Delaware, Ohio, was born Dec. 1, 1960, and entered the presence of her Lord on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023, after a brief and tragic septic infection.

Sheryl was a 1978 Worthington High School graduate and received her social work degree from The Ohio State University in 1982. Sheryl was always one to make everyone feel welcome and included. Her family was her pride and joy and while her children were growing up, she was always known as the mother to provide too many fireworks and pizza to anyone around. She loved her work as a provider for adults with various abilities through the Alpha Group and she adored her clients. Sheryl's greatest passion, aside from her children and family, was for her Savior, Jesus Christ, who she boldly declared.

Sheryl is survived by twin sons, John (Shama Barday) Muryn of Atlanta, Georgia, and Tyler (Christina) Muryn of Findlay; stepdaughter, Stephanie (Ben) Leugers and their children, Elijah, Wyatt, and Olivia of West Chester; mother, Marty Trone of The Villages, Florida; sister, Jill (Dave) Zelle of Dublin, Ohio; and nieces and nephews, Megan (Jacob) Sizer, Bryan Zelle, Scott (Liv) Zelle, Mitchell Zelle, Chris (Lesley) Muryn, and Nicole (Scott) Clement, who are scattered across the country making their presence known.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Charles Trone; and grandparents, Vera and John Downs and PheobeAnn and Lowell Anderson.

Sheryl's celebration of life ceremony will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023, at Liberty Presbyterian Church, 7080 Olentangy River Road, Delaware, Ohio, 43015. An open house will follow from 2-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations to Alpha Group (https://alphagroup.net/get-involved/#waystogive) which provides supportive services to individuals with various abilities for whom Sheryl had a special place for in her heart. The family also encourages everyone who reads this obituary to remember how quickly life can change and to make the plans you keep talking about a reality.

John and Tyler your Mother was a very special person and friend. She worked with my son Darren and really helped him become more social. Your Mother loved you very much and when she talked about the wedding and was showing me pictures her face lit up. Sheryl will be truly missed. My prayers for you and your family.

John and Tyler, your mother was a jewel. She always treated me with enthusiasm and and a loving listening ear.
We are so sorry about your loss. She most definitely loved Jesus, and she boldly spoke of Him. We will be praying during the difficult times ahead. All our love and hugs to you both!
