Sherry Klopp

Sherry Klopp passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin, to be with her Lord and Savior. She passed away peacefully with her "Jim" by her side.

Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Jim Klopp; sister, Danna (Bob) Shontz; sister-in-law, Shirley (Allan) Brelsford; brother-in-law, Richard Klopp; daughter, Hope Ann (Matt) Wallace; son, Robert Kauffman; grandsons, Micheal Wallace and Christopher Kauffman; nieces, Kelle (Tim) Hoover and Alison (Jon) Weaver; and six great-nieces and nephews.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Phyllis Switzer; Jim's parents, Warren and Anna Lou Klopp.

Sherry was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fostoria, and taught at Fostoria City Schools for 38 years, and then at BGSU, teaching teachers getting their masters. After retirement she was vice president of Chapters for the Battle of the Bulge Association and traveled to chapters to speak. She did this in honor of her dad who was in the Battle of the Bulge. She loved to travel, especially Myrtle Beach, Army reunions with her dad, OSU football. She also enjoyed decorating her home and porch, mostly at Christmas. She had a love for cats. Sherry was a friend to everyone and loved by everyone she met. Sherry was a special lady, mother, teacher, wife and friend to all.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Christ Church of Burgoon, 3269 Main St., Burgoon, Ohio 43407, with Pastor Michael Holcomb officiating. Burial will be at Smith Cemetery, Burgoon. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, and Thursday from 10:30-11 a.m. at the church.
