Sherri Marie Brannan

Sherri Marie Brannan, 61, of McComb, passed peacefully, surrounded by her children and husband, after a long battle with cancer, at 4:20pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Briar Hill Assisted Living in North Baltimore. She was born on January 22, 1963, in Findlay to Leon and Connie (Thomas) McDowell, who preceded her in death. On June 14, 1997, she married Scott Brannan and he survives.

Other survivors include her son, Eric (Jenn) Barrett of Findlay; daughters, Heather (Dan) Herwig of Findlay and Katie Brannan of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Elliott Barrett, Grant Barrett, and Oakley Herwig; brother, Kevin (Bonnie) McDowell of Deshler; and a sister, Gail (Bob) Schoonover of Benton Ridge.

Sherri was a 1981 graduate of McComb High School and retired from Kohls Distribution Center. She had also worked at Sink's Flower Shop, in the baking department at Sur-Sav and at GSW Manufacturing. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crocheting, camping and boating at Indian Lake, sewing, vacationing at the beach, Board and Brush in Bluffton and carried on the "Homemade Noodle Tradition". She shared her love for baking with her grandchildren, who she dearly loved. Sherri loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and spent her entire life, always thinking and doing for others and putting them before herself.

Visitation will be from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay. Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024. Pastor Kimberly Reese will officiate, and burial will follow at McComb Union Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of the caring staff at Briar Hill, University Hospital of Cleveland, The James in Columbus, Tracy and all of the aides with Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
