Sheila K. Dewey, 83, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 16, 2022, at The Willows at Bellevue following a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Sandusky, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1956. Sheila loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and loved to go shopping.
She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Dewey, Vicki (David) Robertson, and Cheryl (Barry) Schings; sons, Charles (Kim) Dewey and Irvin (Lisa) Dewey Jr.; grandchildren, Dakota, Cheyenne, Sarah, Laura, Heather, Jacob, Dustin, Rebecca, Ronald, Irvin III, Patrick, and Audrey; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Dewey Sr. on Oct. 4, 2022; parents, Robert and Millicent (Spieker) Martin; and brother, Norman C. Martin.
Friends may call 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, until the time of a memorial service for Irvin and Sheila at 2 p.m. at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Chaplain David Clark will officiate. Entombment will be at a later date at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stein Hospice of Western Reserve, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870. Online condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.ransomfuneralhome.com.
