Shawn C. Sowards

Shawn Christine Sowards, 58, of McComb, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at her residence.

She was born October 1, 1966, in Findlay, to Harold and Juanita (Knepper) Hunt. Shawn married the love of her life, Thomas Sowards, May 21, 2005, and he survives.

Shawn was a graduate of Findlay High School Class of 1984. She was employed at Kohl's Distribution Center, where she retired after 22 years of service. She attended Harvest Baptist Church in Toledo. Shawn enjoyed long country rides, loved online shopping, and never passed up a good bargain at a garage sale. She enjoyed watching various reality television shows, with Law and Order being her favorite. Above all, Shawn loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Left behind to cherish Shawn's memory are her loving husband, Thomas of McComb; children, Shannon (Justin) Davidson, Brianna Sowards, Stephany Cook, Andrew Mason, and stepson, Paul Cordell; grandchildren, Jaydon, Xavier, Carter, Jleigh, Zayne, Cameron, Aleeah, Trinity, Ricky, Treasure, Kyla, Ellie, Trinity, and Zayn; great-grandchildren, Jayda, Remington, and Esmeray. In addition, she is survived by siblings, Sarena (Phill) Reese, Dawn (Tommy) Robinson, Fred Seaburn, Steven (Cindy) Hunt, and Sanna C. Talley; cousins, Alan Knepper, and Brian Soals; and numerous nieces and nephew.

Shawn was preceded in death by both parents, Juanita, April 11, 2008, and Harold, January 5, 2002.

Friends and family may visit from 11-1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500), where funeral service will follow visitation at 1 p.m. with Pastor Claybourne Arnett officiating.
