Sarah Gurney

Sarah Gurney, 77, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born November 29, 1947, daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Cupples) Cooper. On July 4, 1997, she married Thomas Gurney, who survives in Findlay.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Eric (Kim) Pelton of Findlay and Stewart (Heather) Pelton of McComb; stepsons, Brian (Jesse) Gurney of Wyandot County, Tim Gurney of Tiffin, and Jason Gurney of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Bryson, Zachary and Tabitha; and great-grandchildren, Cashton, Myles, and Sullivan; her brothers, Thomas (Cheryl) Cooper of Findlay and Dennis (Sandy) Cooper of Findlay. Preceding her in death were her brothers, Robert, Jackie, and Gene Cooper; and half brothers, Richard, Benny, and Charles Cooper.

Sarah was employed for many years at RCA factory, EP Enterprises, and Paper Press Board, all of Findlay. She enjoyed fishing, camping, riding in a golf cart, traveling, and time with her family and friends. She loved her many animals and arguing with her husband. Sarah would do anything for anyone and was friendly and kind.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL Home, Findlay. Burial will be private at a later date. Memorial contribu-tions may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.

Sarah and I had been friends since we were in second grade. We also grew up on the same street and had a lot of good times together!! Sarah will definitely be mixed!!
Rest In Peace my lifelong friend!!
