I remember when Sandra and I were in California visiting our Mother (Daddy had passed a few years earlier). Mother was attending a bible study with a luncheon afterwards, so we had the morning to ourselves. We decided to do something that we had never been allowed to do as children...see two "mindless movies" in a row at a local theatre. We chose an "Alvin and the Chipmunks" movie and a spoof on action movies called "The Spy Next Door." They were silly but we laughed together like we had not done in years. When we got home Mother was there and when we came in laughing, she said, "What in heaven's name have you two girls been doing?" We just looked at each other, smiled and said, "Mother, we are not going to tell you...it's just something private between us sisters." It was just fun...two adults spending over four hours laughing and eating too much popcorn. And it was to remain our secret. I love you, Sandra! Your sister, Patsy Kay-Shaffer.
