Ronald Buess Obituary

Ronald P. Buess

Ronald P. Buess, 90, of Wharton, died Friday, May 5, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born Sept. 29, 1932, in Wharton, to Farrell and Clara (Clinger) Buess. He married Barbara Pever on July 11, 1964, and she survives.

Ronald is also survived by three daughters, Kelli (William) Norris of Wharton, Kris (Mark) Weihrauch of Ottawa, and Kim (Brandon) Buess of Dunkirk; grandchildren, Alexandria (Brad) Shuster, Gage (Paige) Boden, Tyler Weihrauch, Nick Weihrauch, Sam Norris, Kassidy Norris, and Rori Norris,; great-grandchildren, Lily, Madelyn, and Hazel Shuster, and Alistair and Atticus Boden; and brother, Lonnie Joe Buess of Carey.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard Buess and Norman Buess; and sister, Margie Conley.

Ronald was a graduate of Wharton High School and served in U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was plant manager at Uni-Grip for more than 40 years. He was a volunteer fireman with Wharton Richland Union Fire Dept. and caretaker of Wharton Richland Union Cemetery for many years. Ronald enjoyed fishing, gardening, mowing the lawn, playing cards, croquet, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
