Rodney Wise Obituary

Rodney L "Rod" Wise

Rodney L. "Rod" Wise, 56, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025. He was born to Richard H. and Roberta (Snyder) Wise July 5, 1969, in Findlay. Rod married Julie Giesey March 6, 1998, and she survives along with two daughters, Brianna (Jeremy) Mobley of Arlington and Sam (Brock) Lloyd of Findlay. He is also survived by his mother, Bobbi Johnson of Findlay; brothers, Brett and Rob Wise and a sister, Julie Wise, all of Findlay; and three grandchildren, whom he adored, Sam, Evelynn and Wyatt Mobley; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Rod was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, but his passion was fishing. Rod was known to spend the entire day fishing, often leaving before daybreak and not returning until well after dark. He also enjoyed playing card games and board games while spending time with his family. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.

Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Rod to the family c/o Coldren-Crates Funeral Home.
