Rodger Frantz Obituary
Rodger D. Frantz, 82, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
He was born Nov. 15, 1940, in Findlay, to Raymond and Erma (Robinson) Frantz.
Rodger was a graduate of Findlay High School. He married his wife, Mary (Foreman), on April 18, 1969, and she survives.
In addition to Mary, he is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Dana) Abbott; grandchildren, Chelsi (Michael) Frankforther, Dustin (Sarah) Tiell, Kelly J. Abbott, and Nathan C. Abbott; great-grandson, Aiden Tiell; brothers, Rick (Robbin) Frantz and Thomas Frantz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rodger was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Judith Frost.
Rodger retired from Hercules Tire and Rubber Company, Findlay. He loved everything about the outdoors, especially fishing (he skillfully made his own flies), hunting, and archery. He loved to cook, especially prime rib, and was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan.
At Rodger's request, services will be private.
COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, has been entrusted with his care.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rodger's memory may be shared with American Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, Illinois, 60601, or by visiting alz.org.
