DAY IS DONE,
GONE THE SUN,
FROM THE LAKE,
FROM THE HILL,
FROM THE SKY.
REST IN PEACE,
SOLDIER BRAVE,
GOD IS NIGH.

Jerry was more than just a neighbor; he was a friend and someone I looked up to. In our lives I feel we come across a handful of people who make an impact on our lives, Jerry was one of those people for me. He brought joy and wisdom to those around him with his kind spirit and warm smile. He will be so greatly missed. Rest easy buddy!

Many years working side by side with him at the Henderson Settlement helping to build houses. Always my job to make sure he stayed cooled and hydrated. Jerry was such an amazing and humble man. Will miss him terribly.

My best friend since grade school. We hu g together in HS, joined Navy the same day, bootcamp together and stayed in contact during our service. Worked together after the Navy and always stayed in contact. I will miss him so much. No more Mutt and Jeff. Save me a place, Jeff, I won't be far behind.
Love you my Brother.

Jerry was both a good friend as well as a great neighbor. We teased each other about who served in the best Military Service, but Jerry won 1/2 the time. If I needed him to come over to the house to fix something (that I already knew how to fix!) he would come over and make things right. Jerry was in the Hancock County Honor Guard, and he was always trying to get me to join. Well Jerry, now it's on the forefront of my mind, since I made something of a promise. I will miss you a lot Jerry, wish that you were still around the corner so that we could tell jokes about our Service. Take care, Rest Easy. Your friend Leasha
