Robert W. Craig, age 70, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in Morganton, GA. Robert was born April 5, 1952, in Morganton, GA to the late William Craig and the late Lucille Craig.
Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Craig.
He is survived by his sons, Eric Craig and Mark Craig; sister Laura Craig; sister-in-law Lowayne Craig; nephews Brian Nix, Billy Craig, and Gene Nix, and his grand-dog, "Bear."
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Robert loved teaching and mentoring kids. He coached numerous sports, including basketball and football and enjoyed playing golf and tennis. He was a Sunday School teacher as well as a teacher in the public schools for many years. He will be dearly missed by his family, his friends, and numerous students and players he taught and coached over the years.
Funeral Service, on Tuesday October 25, 2022, at 3:00 PM from Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Beck officiating. Music provided by Greg Norton.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Brian Nix, Gene Nix, Billy Craig, Jim Rismiller, Rick Merryman, and Jim Brumbelow.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge on Monday, 24th of October, 2022, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
