Robert Bushong

Robert E. "Bob" Bushong, 79, of Arcadia, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025. Bob was born in Findlay February 19, 1946, to Robert F. and Ethel (Ward) Bushong. He married Karen Metzger on January 14, 1966, and she survives along with two daughters, Wendy (Phil) Tossey of Arlington and Stacy (Steve) Hoover of Arcadia; brothers, Tom (Sally) Bushong of Findlay and Steve (Linda) Bushong of California. He is also survived by his mother, Ethel Bushong of Findlay; five grandchildren, Justin (Erin) Tossey, Megan (Jason) Head, Kendra Tossey, Ashley Johnson, and Amanda Hoover; and one great-granddaughter arriving in April. Bob retired from Whirlpool Corporation in 2013 after 41 years of service. He was a member of Enon Valley Presbyterian Church for many years. Bob was also a member of the largest Eagle Scout Court of Honor in the world. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Arcadia Fox Hunters. Bob was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoyed coaching summer softball in Arcadia for 11 years but most of all, he loved his grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Tom Everett will officiate and burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery.
