Robert G. Boyer

Robert G. Boyer, 74, of North Baltimore, passed away at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, at his residence.

He was born April 15, 1948, in Findlay, to the late Gail and Gertrude (Halford) Boyer. He married Joanne Baumbarger on Jan. 13, 1973, and she survives.

Robert is also survived by his sons, Jeremy L. (Rebecka) Boyer of North Baltimore, Joshua G. (Ariel) Boyer of Worthington, and Charles R. (Adriane) Boyer of Bowling Green; daughter, Rebekah J. (Amy) Lucyk of Leetonia; brother, Ron (Cindy) Boyer of Findlay; grandchildren, Ty, James, Myrah, Daisy, Hayden, Reagen, Noah, Devin, Onya, Katie, Ava, Caleb, Savannah, and Dakota; and great-grandchild, Roman.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Boyer; and sister, Carolyn Francisco.

Robert retired from Allied Automotive, Fostoria. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served our country in the Vietnam War from 1969-1970. He was a member of Bridge Fellowship Church, North Baltimore, and North Baltimore American Legion Post 539. Robert was a very active sponsor with AA for many years.

Robert's funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where full military rites will be conducted by North Baltimore American Legion Post 539. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Mike Soltis will be officiating. Burial will be at New Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
