Rita Sullivan Obituary

Rita A. "Reinhart" Sullivan

Rita A. "Reinhart" Sullivan, 96 years young, of Alvada, went to her eternal rest surrounded by her loved ones Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital.

Rita was born June 18, 1927, in Wyandot County, Isadore and Gladys (Swerlein) Frey. She was raised on the Frey family farm in Kirby along with her five siblings. She attended Saint Mary's school in Kirby. In 1948, she married Charles D. Reinhart and they later divorced. Rita retired from Autolite in Fostoria after 30 years of service. She was a member of UAW local 533.

Rita was known for being hard working and family focused. Never one to sit idle, an absolute ball of energy, always wanting to live life to the fullest!! She taught all her children how to play cards and enjoy time together, which continued with each generation. She spent marathon weekends with family playing cards and games and rarely EVER lost to her children.

She loved any kind of family get together. Christmas was very special for Rita. She took great joy in having a personalized gift for each family member (well over 100 people).

Rita also enjoyed yearly trips to Las Vegas with her family for over 40 years, beginning back in 1979. In her later years, she was honored and thrilled to travel to Las Vegas via private jet!!

Family was everything to Rita. Her greatest priority in life was caring for and loving her special daughter, Kelly Lynn.

Rita's survivors include her sons, Steve (Nancy) Reinhart of Massillon, and Doug (Linda) Reinhart and Charlie (Brett) Reinhart, both of Tiffin; daughters, Connie (Frank) Ritter of Carey, Jennine (Tom) Kramer of Tiffin, and Kelly Sullivan of Alvada; sisters, Ruth Konst of Bellevue and Irene Darr of Clyde; 20 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terrance Reinhart; daughter, Cynthia Cannady; brothers, Linus Frey and Robert Frey; sister, Loretta Quail; and grandson, Bradley Reinhart.

Rita's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Cynthia Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens.

Visitation for friends and family will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Steve, To your family please remember all the good times. I know that your Mom worked hard to give you all the best she could. I only met her a couple of times, but what came through was her pride for her family. No matter the age at which we lose our parents, it is never enough. Elaine and Hook Wagner
