Richard Schroyer Obituary
Richard Thomas "Rick" Schroyer, 66, of Findlay, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, at his residence.
He was born March 24, 1956, in Jenera, Ohio, to the late Calvin and Ellen (Decker) Schroyer. He married Virginia Beardley "PeeWee" on Oct. 20, 2001, and she preceded him in death Dec. 12, 2010.
Richard is survived by his daughters, Tina Marie Watkins of Gibsonburg, and Brooklynne Schroyer and Alyssa Schroyer, both of Findlay; brother, Jack Sherman of Texas; sisters, Peggy, Shirley, Pat, and Pam; and grandchildren, Kennedy and Jeremiah.
Richard served in U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, AMVETS, and VFW.
Visitation will be 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay. Rick's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Shane Helms officiating. Following the funeral, full military rites will be conducted by Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's honor to National Kidney Foundation, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, Maryland, 20852, or Blanchard Valley Center, 1700 E. Sandusky St., Findlay.
