Richard W. "Dick" Flowers

Richard W. "Dick" Flowers, 85, of Forest, peacefully passed Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born October 1, 1939, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Otto and Annabelle (Boroff) Flowers. He married Janice Lamb and they later divorced.

He is survived by a son, Gregg Flowers of Findlay; daughter, Beverly Bowen of Findlay; grandchildren, Dustin Flowers, Shaina (Brennan) Baeder, Jen (Jason) Hutton, Dan (Kaylee) Shuck, and Bryan (Jenna) Shuck; and great-grandchildren, Tessa, Callie, Brant, Brody, Evan, Jace, Ella, Nora, Dempsey, Bexley, and Wrenley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Pat Parsell.

Dick was a 1957 graduate of Forest High School and worked at Rockwell in Kenton for over 40 years. During his active years, he enjoyed pheasant hunting with Lady Joker, his faithful German short-haired pointer. Fishing at Lake Erie, camping with friends and family, and hunting Indian relics was time well-spent. He embodied an endless appreciation for harvesting the land through farming and attending to an abundant garden of fresh produce that fueled his family. Dick is remembered by his family, friends and neighbors as compassionate, steadfast, and a giver of his time and resources.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2025, until the time of Dick's funeral at 12 p.m. at Clark Shields Funeral Home. Pastor Ken Gray will officiate. Private burial will follow.
