Recardo Leal

Recardo "Ricky" Leal, 66, of Bellevue and formerly of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.

He was born July 5, 1956, in Fostoria, to Manuel and Porfiria (Martinez) Leal Sr. and they survive him in Fostoria.

He is also survived by his wife, Jeannie (Berger) Leal; children, Shelley (Jeff) Wagner of Bellevue, Angie (Dennis) Ruck of Bellevue, Lori Crossan of Monroeville, and Misty Brown of Illinois; five grandchildren, Brynn Wagner, Wyatt (Lindsey) Ruck, Aidan (Kory) Landrum, Casey Crossan, and Colin Crossan; four great-grandchildren, Layla, Dakota, Christopher, and Jonathon; siblings, Tina Coppus of Tiffin, Anna (Jeff) Brown of Laureville, Ohio, and Margie (Tim) Burns of Fostoria; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by brothers Manuel Leal Jr., Tony Leal, and Danny Leal.

Recardo was a 1976 Fostoria High School graduate and a utility driver for Roppe Corp. for 38 years. In his leisure, he enjoyed time spent at Any Time Fitness where he was a member, loved to go fishing, and was a Cleveland sports fan. A hard worker, he also took great pride in his lawn and garden. Most of all, Recardo had a love for his grandkids, his family, and family gatherings. He never met a stranger, was easy-going, and yet, was stubborn and determined to his last breath.

Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at MANN-HARE-HOENING Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria. Services will take place privately.
