Rebecca Stoepfel Obituary
Rebecca Ann (Rinebold) "Becky" Stoepfel, 77, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Swanton Valley Healthcare Center, Swanton, after a long battle with Huntington's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease.
An only child, Becky was born Aug. 21, 1946, to Harold and Ruth (Niswander) Rinebold. She married her lifelong camping partner, Richard "Dick" Stoepfel, on Dec. 2, 1967. Becky enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time in campgrounds with family and friends. She also loved milkshakes and chocolate.
Becky is survived by her son, Edward "E.J." (Toni) Stoepfel of Zanesville; granddaughter, Hannah Stoepfel of Canal Winchester; grandson, William Stoepfel, of Zanesville; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine Stoepfel, Jane Stoepfel, Jim (Jan) Stoepfel, Mike (Karen) Stoepfel, Tony (Cheryl) Stoepfel, Rosie (Tom) Phillips, Mary (Jack) Rutherford, Maggie (Tom) Thomas, and Judy (Don) Cusac.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, who died Oct. 4, 2022; and parents.
The family would like to recognize the kindness and care Becky and Richard received from the Swanton Valley staff.
There will be no services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Weigel Funeral Home, 419-826-2631.

I was shocked today to findout that my best childhood friend and maid of honor passed away. Her parents and mine were neighobors for years when they lived in Risingsun. Having lived out of state most of my adult years we lost contact after the letters stopped. Learning later she suffered from memory loss. Becky will always have a special place in my heart.
