Phyllis Moore Obituary
Phyllis Moore, 100, of Belleville, Michigan, and formerly of Hoytville, died at 2:03 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Cedar Woods Hospice, Belleville, Michigan. She was born November 8, 1924, in Wood County to the late Leo and Ardinelle (Allison) King. She married Eugene Smith, and he preceded her in death.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Terry Smith of Monroe, Michigan; granddaughters, Michele (Russ) McCombie, Tracey (Ken) Zeestraten, Roxanne (Chris) Knotts, and Wendy (Tony) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Heather (Eric) Kowalczyk, Lucas McCombie, Jacob McCombie, Lindsay (Parker) Schimler, Cassandra (Kigan) Allen, Aimee (AJ) West, Stacey (Conor Banyon) Zeestraten, Kenny (Avery Kerlin) Zeestraten, Brittany (Travis) Duarte, Courtney (Harley) Lytsell, Chelsea (Dominik) Hilgert, Kayla (Alex Smith) Johnson; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Allison King; great-grandson, Brad Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Jeanette Smith.
Phyllis was a retired teacher with Lincoln Park Schools in Michigan.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
There will be a luncheon at North Baltimore Eagles following the graveside service.
