Phillip Dean Sims

Phillip Dean Sims, 64 of Findlay passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. He was born in Findlay on July 31, 1958 to the late Richard and Betty M. (Gorman) Sims. He was a 1976 graduate of Findlay High School and worked for many years as a carpenter. Phillip is survived by his son, Matthew Sims, brothers; Rick Sims, Mark (Bonnie) Sims both of Findlay, Dan (Peggy) Sims of Rawson, sister-in-law, Thais Sims of Findlay and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Sims, sister, Diane (Paul) Spearman and sister-in-law Sandy Sims. Phil was an avid Michigan Wolverine and Cleveland Browns fan. He also enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 5:00 â€" 7:00 PM at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date, in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Phil to Southern Care Hospice or Connections Church of God.
