Philip Paxton Obituary

Philip W. Paxton III

Philip W. Paxton III, 75, of Findlay, died Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.

He was born Nov. 5, 1947, in Findlay, the son of Philip II and Georgette (Morgan) Paxton. He married Barbara Krochmalny on Dec. 12, 1969, and she survives.

Philip is also survived by a son, Jack (Sveta) Paxton; daughter, Jennifer (Kenny) Graves of Mt. Blanchard; eight grandchildren, Doug, Cassie, Brendan, Autumn, Sierra, Philip, Molly, and Georgette; and brothers, John (Jodi) Paxton of Findlay and Mitchell (Cathy) Paxton of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Doug and Paul Paxton.

Philip graduated from Findlay High School in 1967 and was an U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed at Garwood in Findlay and American Shipyard in Toledo. He was a boilermaker and member of Local #85 Hall in Toledo. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

There will be no public services at this time for Philip.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to disabled veterans of America.
