Peggy Moore

Peggy L. (Stockwell) Moore, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025, at the age of 78. Born February 12, 1947, in Findlay, to the late Eli and Esther (Bard) Stockwell.

Peggy graduated as the salutatorian of Westwood High School in 1965 before earning her bachelor's degree in marketing from Bowling Green State University.

Peggy married the love of her life, Harold Moore, June 12, 1969. They shared many wonderful years together until Hal's passing January 29, 2024. She was a talented buyer with Higbee's department store. Peggy finished her business career as vice president with Weaver's Lawn and Garden Products in Bowling Green, Ohio. Known for her keen eye for design and decorating, she always loved having a project in the works.

Peggy had a deep passion for horses, proudly raising Quarter Horses. Notable accomplishments for the horses she owned during her career included Quarter Horse Congress Top 10 and several final placements, American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Region 4 multiple Championships, Reserve Champion, several Top 5 finishes and Youth World finalist.

Peg and Hal shared their loved for horses as well as love for Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavaliers, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

She leaves behind her sister, Nancy (Charles) Amos; brother, Matt (Patricia) Stockwell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary (Linda) Moore; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert (Patricia) Moore. Peggy will also be lovingly remembered by her seven nephews and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Hal; and her brother-in-law, John Moore.

The family will hold a private service at Wingston Cemetery at a later date.

In honor of Peggy's memory, contributions may be made to BGSU Foundation Falcon Marching Band Fund No. 302690R or donor's choice.
