Paula R. Munger

Paula R. (Hough) Munger, 59, of Fostoria passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green.

She was born March 11, 1964 in Findlay to William Paul and Angela N. (Fry) Hough Jr.

She married Tim Munger on November 9, 2013 in Fostoria, and he survives her along with her daughter, Willow C. Soluri, of Bowling Green; sisters, Teresa (Adrian) Griffin, of Waco, TX and Camela Genovy, of Fostoria; nephews Andrew W. Vargas, of Boynton Beach, FL and Bradley D. (Courtney) Vargas, of Linthicum Heights, MD; and step-father, Larry Dayringer, of Fostoria. She was preceded in death by her father, William Hough, mother, Angela Dayringer and a brother, William Thurston Hough.

Paula was a daughter, sister, optician, wife and mother. She was a 1982 Fostoria High School graduate who owned and operated four successful optical stores, spanning a career of nearly 40 years. She was a woman of strong faith, artistic and musical talent, having played the tuba in high school she also played the piano and loved to sing. She loved the song "Here I Am, Lord" by John Michael Talbot and her favorite band was Journey.

In her leisure Paula liked nothing more than to relax at home with her husband and dog Piper, and she liked to make spaghetti sauce.

A memorial visitation will be held at Hoening & Son Funeral Home, 133 W. Tiffin St, Fostoria on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. and from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023 with a memorial service at 11 a.m., Pastor Michael Malcosky, presiding.

Private family interment will take place in Knollcrest Cemetery at a later time.
