Paul Rickenbacher Obituary
Paul Eugene Rickenbacher, 87, of rural Kenton, passed away peacefully Friday, June 28, 2024, with his family by his side at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
He was born in Wyandot Co. to Harold and Faye (Wolford) Rickenbacher. He married Nancy Bidwell on June 22, 1958, and she survives.
Paul is also survived by three sons, Gary (Melissa) Rickenbacher, Steve (Andrée Corr) Rickenbacher, and Kevin (Kelly) Rickenbacher; daughter-in-law, Laura Rickenbacher; grandchildren, Jordan (Jack) Draper, Ryan, Jason, Alexis, Zachary, and Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Ada and Harold; brother, Wayne (Sandy) Rickenbacher; sister, Judy (Mike) Houser; sister-in-law, Sue Rickenbacher; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffrey; two grandsons, Erik and Caleb; and brother, Glen.
He was a 1955 graduate of Kenton High School and retired from Whirlpool Corporation following over 45 years of service.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Church and served on Hardin County Fair Board for over 30 years, the Junior Fair Board for over 30 years, and was a 4-H advisor for over 40 years with the Land O'Goshen Boys. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events, spending time at the YMCA, and traveling with the Ohio Fair Managers Association bus trips over the years.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024, at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, and 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024, until the time of Paul's service at 11 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Church. Burial will follow at McKendree Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Hardin County Fair Foundation, PO Box 317, Kenton, Ohio, 43326, in memory of Paul Rickenbacher.
