Patsy Beaschler Obituary

Patsy Jean (Bland) Beaschler

Patsy Jean (Bland) Beaschler, 90, of Rawson, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, at Promedica in Toledo.

She passed after a fall at an assisted living facility. She will be dearly missed, but she is finally free and with her loved ones!

Pat was born in McCutchenville in 1932 to Esther and Clarence Bland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Donald, William, and James R. Bland (two months); husband, Don Beaschler (89); beloved daughter, Tammy Balega (46); and former son-in-law, Joe Balega (50).

Pat and Don met at McCutchenville High School. She was a cheerleader and involved in multiple clubs. They married in 1952. Don joined U.S. Navy for a two-year stint with Pat following him to Norfolk, Virginia, where their first child was born. They returned to Findlay in 1954 where their other two children were born. They moved to Don's lifelong dream, a farm, in Rawson, in 1976, where they resided and farmed until Don's passing in Feb., 2019.

Pat is survived by her twin sister, Peg (Jerry) Risner of Fostoria and sister, Deb (Larry) May of Sycamore; two sons, Terry (Kathy) Beaschler of California and Tim (Laura) Beaschler of Colorado; grandchildren, Lindsay (Greg) Dollar, Andrew (Hannah) Balega, Mackenzie (Ian) Dunn, and Logan Beaschler; and five great-grandchildren, Cambria, Memphis, Barrett, Baby Dollar (2023), and Scarlet Balega.

Pat worked worked at RCA in Findlay in the 1960s. She became a full-time mother and homemaker after birth of her second child. She became a farmer's wife and all that entailed â€" driving trucks, helping repair equipment, and handling whatever was needed. She provided housekeeping services for friends. She enjoyed reading novels and sewing up until her sight dimmed in her 70s. She enjoyed her grandson, Andrew's sports and school functions. Later on she loved dining out with Don.

There will be a private family service.
