Pamela Reed Obituary

Pamela Lee Reed

Pamela Lee Reed, 59, passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at her daughter's home.

Pamela was born Sept. 30, 1963, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Harold and Reta Prochaska. For over seven years, Pam battled a courageous fight against Pancreatic cancer.

Pam attended Sacred Heart School, Columbus High, and Central High school. Pam managed the bakery at Market Place in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin for over 20 years until her cancer diagnosis.

Pam sure knew how to light up a room when she entered. Her goal was to live life to the fullest and that is exactly what she did. She enjoyed spending quality time with family, camping, fishing, and traveling.

Pam is survived by two children, Justin (Sasha Bryant) Shrout and Sara (Kayla Watts) Shrout; four siblings, Valencia Fremont, Jeff (Christy) Prochaska, Lyn (Jerry) Locke, and Brian (Angie Krenz) Prochaska; spouse, Leigh Reed; three stepchildren, Debbie (Josh) Heidel, Zach (Jodi) Reed, and Tiffany (Tom) Rother; eight beloved grandchildren, Gabe, Jace, Elliot, Alexis, Gabby, Declan, Findley, and Colton; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Reta Prochaska; and both set of grandparents.

Cards and memorials can be directed to Sara Shrout, 3944 Midway Drive, Waterloo, Iowa, 50701.

A celebration of life will take place this spring at the Prochaska family farm in Osage, where we plan to plant a tree in memory of Pam.

Pam was a kind and loving woman. When I met her through Sasha and Justin many years ago she was instantly welcoming and genuinely cared about those around her. She was one of my Aunt Darcys close friends and supported her through her battle with Pancreatic cancer and encouraged her to keep fighting the battle till the end. Thank you Pam. She was strong for her family and was always there for them. I know that her and her grandson Jace have a special bond unlike any other one. I am confident she had the same bond with all of her family. It was an honor to had known Pam and I'm here when you need me Justin, Sasha, and Jace. Sending love and support to your whole family.
